Seller Rules
In force from Mon, Oct 26, 2026. Last updated Mon, Oct 26, 2026.
These rules are for everyone who posts an item. The Community Rules apply too. Shops have extra steps in section 8.
1. Honest items
Every item needs the details its category asks for, such as a name or brand, a price, a description, the condition and the place. The form asks for each one.
- Say what is wrong with the item. Say if it is used, repaired or for parts.
- The price you post is the price you ask. "Free" means free.
- Post each item once. Do not copy another seller's words or photos.
2. Photos and videos
- Use your own photos and videos of the real item, not pictures from the internet.
- We check videos, and photos in some cases, for nudity, violence and copies of other files. If we are unsure, a person looks.
- For kids' things, show the item, not the child.
3. Phones, laptops and other electronics
- Give the IMEI (phones) or the serial number (laptops, tablets, cameras, consoles) when the form asks. Dial
*#06#to see an IMEI. Buyers never see it. - Keep proof that it is yours, such as a receipt, box or warranty. We may ask to see it.
- Do not sell a device you know is stolen. Dealing in stolen goods is a crime. When the police tell us about a stolen device, we act fast.
4. Motorcycles
- Give the plate, make, model, year and mileage.
- Say whose name is on the OR/CR: yours, the previous owner's (with a deed of sale), or nobody's yet. Tell the truth.
- Never sell a bike with a changed engine or chassis number, or parts you know came from a stolen bike.
- Buyers see a warning to check the papers before they pay.
5. Second-hand dealers
If you buy and resell second-hand goods as a business, you need a police clearance, and you sell under a Shop. We ask Shops for a copy.
6. Payments and contact
- Do not ask for a deposit, a "reservation fee" or a courier fee before the buyer has seen the item.
- Do not push anyone to chat or pay outside Zellany. Phone numbers and emails stay hidden until you both agree.
- Zellany does not take payments between buyers and sellers today. If someone sends you a link or an account to pay "through Zellany", report it.
- A payment screenshot is not proof. Check that the money is really in your account.
7. Ratings
No paid ratings. No fake ratings. No swaps. No gifts or discounts for a good rating.
8. Shops (business sellers)
A Shop is for dealers and businesses. Shops are opened on request today: write to help@zellany.com. To check a Shop, we ask for papers that show the business, such as:
- A DTI or SEC registration (or a government ID), the address, phone and email
- A BIR certificate (Form 2303) and your TIN, if you sell as a business
- Any permit or licence numbers your items need
- A police clearance, if you resell second-hand goods
Then:
- The papers stay private. Staff look at them. They are never shown to the public.
- Your Shop and items show a "Business" label, your business name and your place. We keep your ID and direct contact details private while you use Zellany chat.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. We cannot give tax advice.
- If you sell your own things now and then, you are a private seller. If you sell often to make money, you may need to register as a business. Ask a tax adviser.
- Zellany never promises you any income.
