Terms of Service

In force from Mon, Oct 26, 2026. Last updated Mon, Oct 26, 2026.

In short. Zellany is a place where people in the Philippines meet to buy and sell. We are not the buyer or the seller. Zellany does not hold anyone's money. You must be 18 or older.

Who runs Zellany. Zellany, in the Philippines. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Zellany. You can reach us at help@zellany.com.

By creating an account or using Zellany you agree to these terms, the Privacy Notice and the Community Rules. If you do not agree, please do not use Zellany.

1. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older. We ask you to confirm this when you join. One person, one account.
  • Use your real name and true details. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Tell us at once if someone else is using your account. Write to help@zellany.com.

2. Checks

  • Checks are steps a person did, such as checking their email with a code. Some checks, such as text-message codes and ID checks, are not switched on yet.
  • A check shows that we looked at that step. It does not promise that a person or an item is good or honest.
  • Checks are never for sale.

3. Private sellers and Shops

  • A private seller sells their own things now and then.
  • A Shop is an optional account for a dealer or a business. Shops give us business details. See the Seller Rules.
  • If you sell like a business, we may ask you to open a Shop.

4. What you post

  • You can post items and short videos. Post only what is yours to sell and what is allowed. Follow the Community Rules, including the list of things that are never allowed, and the Seller Rules.
  • Your posts stay yours. You let us store them, show them on Zellany and in search results, and resize, compress and re-encode your photos and videos, so Zellany works. This lasts while your post is on Zellany, and for a short time after for backups.
  • Do not post what you have no right to use. No bots, no scraping, no attacks on our security.

5. A place to meet, not a party to the sale

  • The deal is between the buyer and the seller. We are not a buyer, a seller or an agent. We do not own, store or inspect items.
  • We cannot promise that an item is real, legal, safe or as described, or that someone will turn up. Check the item before you pay. Meet in a public place, and bring a friend if you can.
  • We hide contact details until both people agree, scan for obvious problems and act on reports. This helps. It does not stop every problem.

6. Money, Safe Deal and Boosts

  • Zellany never holds your money. Today you pay the seller yourself, in cash, when you meet and after you have checked the item.
  • Safe Deal is not available. It would be an optional way to pay through a licensed payment partner, which would hold the money until both people confirm. It starts only after a Philippine lawyer approves it and a licensed partner is ready. Anyone who offers you "Safe Deal" today is not offering a Zellany service. Report it.
  • Boosts and Shop plans are not available. If we ever offer them, you will see the price before you choose, the item will wear the word "Boosted", and we will publish their own terms and ask you to accept them first.
  • Cash at a meet-up is always allowed, and we never charge a fee on it.

7. Fees

  • Posting and Chats are free. Nobody pays to contact a seller, and checks are never sold.
  • Nothing on Zellany can charge you today. If that changes, you will see the price and what you get before you pay. You will get a receipt for what you pay us.

8. Photo and video checks

  • Videos, and in some cases photos, are looked at before or after they show, by a computer or a person, for things that are not allowed.
  • A check can be wrong. A person decides when to close an account.
  • You are responsible for what you post.

9. Reports, suspension and appeals

  • Anyone signed in can report anything on Zellany. You get a ticket number.
  • If rules are broken, we may hide an item, remove it, pause an account or close it. We hide first, then a person reviews. We tell you why when we can.
  • You can appeal. See the Notice-and-Takedown and Complaints Policy.
  • If something goes wrong, talk to the other person, report it, or write to us. We aim to answer a complaint within 7 days.

10. Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows:

  • We are not responsible for deals between users, or for what users post or do.
  • We do not promise that Zellany will always work, be free of errors or be available every minute.
  • We are not responsible for lost profit or other indirect loss.
  • Our total responsibility to you for a claim is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. If you paid us nothing, that is zero.

None of this limits anything the law does not let us limit, or our responsibility for our own fraud or gross negligence.

11. Closing your account

  • Close it any time. On the website open Settings, then Your data, then Delete my account. On the app open Me and tap Delete my account. You can download your data first.
  • We may pause or close your account if you break these terms or the rules, or if the law requires.
  • We keep some records for the times in the Data Retention Schedule.

12. Philippine law, disputes and changes

  • These terms follow Philippine law. If we cannot settle a dispute together, the courts of Metro Manila decide it, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
  • We may change these terms. We tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before a change that matters starts. If you keep using Zellany after that, you accept the change. If you do not, you can close your account.
  • If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
