Payments and fees
Does Zellany hold my money?
No. Zellany never holds anyone's money. You pay the seller yourself when you meet, after you have checked the item.
No. Zellany never holds anyone's money. You pay the seller yourself when you meet, after you have checked the item. Never pay a stranger first.
How paying works today
- Chat and agree on the price and the place.
- Meet in a public place.
- Check the item.
- Pay in cash, in person.
- The seller marks the item as sold.
There are no fees from Zellany when you pay cash at a meet-up.
What Zellany does not do
- It does not take payment for an item.
- It does not send money to a seller.
- It does not deliver items. If a seller ships, you and the seller agree on the courier in the chat. Zellany does not handle that payment either.
- It does not return money you paid someone.
Why we say "pay at the meet-up"
Paying first is how most scams work. A real seller lets you check the item before you pay. See How to spot a scam.
If you pay in another way
If you pay a seller or a courier by bank transfer or an e-wallet, that is between you and them. We cannot reverse it. Be extra careful, and only pay people you have met.
Later
A way to pay through a licensed payment partner, called Safe Deal, is planned. See Safe Deal.
Not live yet
Safe Deal is off today. Nobody can pay or be paid through Zellany.
Heads up
Anyone who asks you to send money to "Zellany" to hold an item is a scammer. Report them.
