Boosts: paid promotion (not live yet)

A Boost is a paid extra that would show your item higher. It is labelled Boosted. It is not live yet, so nothing is charged.

Updated 2 min read For sellers

A Boost is a paid extra that would show your item in a more visible place. Boosts are not live yet, so nothing is charged today.

Not live yet

The Boost button is hidden or says "Coming soon". No price has been approved. Do not pay anyone for a "Zellany Boost".

What a Boost is planned to be

  • Bump. Puts a live item back near the top of the newest list, and it wears Boosted for a day.
  • Top spot. One of a few labelled places above the results.
  • Featured. A labelled row on the Home page and on category pages.

The rules we follow

  • Always labelled. A paid placement says Boosted, Top spot, Featured or "Paid for by sellers". It is never hidden.
  • Prices first. You see the full price before you pay. No hidden fees.
  • Not a check. A Boost does not make an item or a seller more trusted. Verification is never sold.
  • The rules stay the same. Paying for a Boost does not change what is allowed. A Boost on an item that is reported for child safety stops at once.
  • The other results. Paid places do not change the order of the rest of the results.
  • You choose. Nothing is bought without your tap.

Today: the free bump

You can bump each live item for free once every 24 hours. Tap Bump on your item. See Post another like this, renew or bump.

When it goes live

We will tell you in the app and here. Boosts will be paid through a licensed payment partner, and Zellany will not hold your money. See Does Zellany hold my money?.

Tip

Good photos, a fair price and a clear title still matter most.
