What Zellany does and does not do

We look at reports, remove what breaks the rules and keep your details private. We do not hold money or inspect items.

Zellany gives you tools, and our team looks at reports. We do not hold your money, and we do not inspect items. We cannot promise that every person or item is what they say.

What Zellany does

  • Looks at reports. Our team looks at reports and removes items, videos and accounts that break the community rules.
  • Checks some posts. Photos and some categories are checked before they show.
  • Keeps your details private. Your phone number and email stay hidden unless you and the other person both agree to share them. Your place is shown roughly.
  • Warns you in chats about messages that ask for money first.
  • Never asks for your password or a one-time code.
  • Labels paid things. A paid placement is always labelled. Checks on a person are never for sale.
  • Charges nothing for a cash meet-up.

What Zellany does not do

  • It does not hold anyone's money. You pay the seller yourself. See Does Zellany hold my money?.
  • It does not inspect items before they are sold, and it does not deliver them.
  • It does not promise that a seller or a buyer is honest. A check shows that someone did a step. It does not show that a person is good.
  • It does not promise safety, speed or an income. Nobody should expect to earn a set amount from selling.
  • It cannot undo a deal or return money you paid someone.

What you can do

Your habits matter most. Read Meet-up habits, look before you pay, and use Report when something looks wrong.

Safe Deal

Not live yet

Safe Deal, a way to pay through a licensed payment partner, is planned. It is off today. See Safe Deal.

Heads up

If you think someone took your money, also go to the nearest police station.
