Protect your account: never share your code
Never share your code, password or card number with anyone. Zellany never asks for them.
Never share your code, your password or your card number with anyone. Zellany never asks for them. If someone does, it is a scam.
Codes
- The 6-digit code we email you is for you only. Not for a buyer, a seller, a friend or our team.
- If a buyer or seller asks for "the code you just got", it is someone trying to take over your account. Say no and report them.
Passwords
- Use a password of at least 8 characters that you do not use anywhere else.
- Do not write it in a chat.
- Do not use it on sites that look like Zellany but have another address.
Look out for fake messages
- Our emails come from an address that ends in zellany.com. We never ask for your password in an email. If you are not sure an email is ours, do not tap its links. Write to help@zellany.com.
- Be careful with a link in a chat that says "verify your account". Links are not allowed in Zellany chats.
- If a message pushes you to hurry, stop and check.
Sign-in alerts
If you sign in from a new browser or phone, we email you a note: "New sign-in to your Zellany account". If it was you, nothing to do. If it was not you, change your password now and write to us.
Shared phones and computers
Tap Sign out when you finish on a phone or computer you share. On the website it is in the menu under your picture. On the app, open Me and tap Log out.
If you think someone is in your account
- Reset your password. See I forgot my password.
- Check your items and chats for anything you did not do.
- Write to help@zellany.com and tell us what you saw.
Heads up
Some sign-ins (for staff and Shop owners) use a second email code. It works for 10 minutes. Keep it to yourself too.
