Updated 2 min read For sellers

You post a service in the Services department. Say what you do, where you work and what it costs. Some kinds of work need a licence number.

How to post

  1. Tap Sell and add a photo or a video of your work. Try "You at work", "A finished job", "Your tools" or "Before and after".
  2. Choose Services and a kind, such as Home services, Repairs, Car services, Lifestyle & events, Tuition & lessons, Business & creative, Delivery, moving & hauling, or Travel & tours.
  3. Write a title and say what you do.
  4. Choose how you charge: Fixed price, Per hour, Per day, Per square metre or Get a quote. Your price is a starting price.
  5. Add the areas you cover and when you are available.
  6. Tap Post item.

Licences

The law says some work must be licensed. Zellany asks for a licence number for:

  • Plumbing and electrical work.
  • Licensed teachers of board subjects.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Architecture and engineering.

Add the licence type, number and expiry. We show it with "Licence not verified by Zellany". We do not check it.

Rules

  • You may need to check your email first, when email is on.
  • Your first post gets a quick look from our team.
  • Say what is true. Zellany does not check anyone's skill.
  • No promise of results you cannot keep.
  • The same community rules apply.

For customers

  • Ask for examples of past work.
  • Ask what is included, and agree on the price in the chat.
  • Meet in a public place if you can, or ask a friend to be there.
  • Pay when the work is done to your satisfaction. Never pay everything first.

Tip

Photos of your finished work and a clear price range answer most questions before they are asked.
