Video not uploading or stuck

If a video will not upload, check your signal first, then the file and the limits. A video goes up in small parts, so a short signal drop does not always start it over.

Try these in order

1. Check your signal. Use Wi-Fi if you can. A long video on weak data can be slow.
2. Keep the app open until it says the video is done. On the website, keep the tab open.
3. Check the length. The video must be 5 to 30 seconds. Trim it if it is longer.
4. Check the size. The limit is 100 MB. Record at 1080p or lower.
5. Check the type. We take MP4, MOV and WebM from a camera. Edited files from other apps may be refused.
6. Try again. Cancel the upload, then add the video once more.

Limits that stop an upload

• 3 videos on one item.
• 5 video uploads a day, and 2 on a new account's first day.
• 20 live videos on your account.
• A few open uploads at the same time.
• If several uploads in a row are refused, new uploads pause for an hour.

Messages you may see

• "Videos aren't available yet. You can still post your item with photos." Videos are not switched on.
• "We can't use that file. Try a video from your phone's camera."
• "That video is bigger than we can take. Record it at 1080p or lower and try again."
• "Another video is being made right now." Wait a moment and try again.
