Buying
How do we meet up?
Agree on a public place and a time in Chats, such as a mall in the daytime. Look at the item before you pay.
Agree on a public place and a time in Chats. Choose a busy spot you both know, like a mall, a convenience store or a barangay hall, in the daytime. Look at the item before you pay.
Plan it in Chats
- Ask where the seller is, and pick a place that is easy for you both.
- Agree on a time. Go in the daytime if you can.
- Agree on the price, in the chat, so you both remember it.
- Tell a friend where you are going.
At the meet-up
- Check that the item is the one in the photos and that it works.
- Test it. Turn on a phone, try a zip, plug in a charger.
- Pay only after you have checked it. Pay in cash.
- Never pay a deposit or a "reservation fee" to a stranger first.
After the meet-up
- Sellers: tap Mark sold so the item stops showing.
- Both: you can rate each other. See Mark as sold and rate.
Money
Zellany does not hold your money. There are no fees when you pay cash at a meet-up. Read Does Zellany hold my money?.
Heads up
If anything feels wrong, leave. No item is worth a risk. For more habits, see Meet-up habits.

How chat works
Each buyer has one chat per item. Chat in Chats, send text and photos, and share your number only if you both agree.
Mark as sold and rate each other
When the item is gone, sellers tap Mark as sold. Then the buyer and the seller can rate each other for a while.
Does Zellany hold my money?
No. Zellany never holds anyone's money. You pay the seller yourself when you meet, after you have checked the item.
