Block or report someone

You can Block a person so you stop getting messages and offers from them, and you can Report a chat, a person or an item so our team looks. You do not have to choose. You can do both.

Block

Blocking is for when you just want someone to stop. You will not get messages or offers from each other. They are not told who blocked whom.

1. Open the chat, then the menu.
2. Tap Block and the person's name.
3. Confirm.

You can also block from a person's profile menu. To undo it, open the chat menu and tap Unblock.

Report

Reporting is for when something breaks the rules. Our team looks at every report. The person you report is never told that it was you.

Report a chat

1. Open the chat, then the menu.
2. Tap Report this chat.
3. Pick a reason: Scam, Harassment, Sexual content, Violence or threats, Shares private details, Child safety, Spam or Something else.
4. Add a short note if you like. Tap Send report.

Report a person or a Shop

Open their profile, tap the menu and choose Report. Reasons include "Scam or asking for money first" and "Fake or pretending to be someone".

Report an item or a video

Tap Report on the item, or Report this video in the video's menu. You need to be signed in.

What happens next

You get a ticket number. A person looks at the report. A report about child safety is handled first. Read Report something.

Good to know

• Reporting the same thing twice gives you the first ticket back.
• You can report up to 20 times a day, and at most 5 people an hour.
• Reporting only to bother someone is against the rules too.
