The privacy notice and the terms of use are published. They are the full, official words. This page is the short version in plain language.
- Privacy notice: what we collect, why, who can see it, your rights.
- Terms of use: the rules for using Zellany.
- Community rules, Seller rules and Child-safety policy.
- Report and appeal policy, Law-enforcement requests and the Data retention schedule.
Who runs Zellany
Zellany is run by Zellany, in the Philippines. Write to help@zellany.com. For a question about your data, put "Privacy" in the subject.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email, password (scrambled), city and photo.
- What you post: items, photos, videos, prices and the rough place.
- What you do: chats, offers, ratings, what you saved and followed, your notifications.
- What you agreed to and when, such as being 18 or older.
- Reports you made, and our decisions.
- Sign-in and device records for security and to fix problems.
What we use it for
To run Zellany, pass your messages, show items near you, warn about scams, answer reports and keep the site secure.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and Zellany has no advertising trackers.
- We show your phone number or email to someone else only if you and that person both agree.
- We show your place roughly.
- ID checks are not live yet. If they go live, we keep the result and not the picture.
- We do not read your chats without a reason. See What staff can see.
Outside helpers
Some services help us run Zellany: our web host, our mail server, phone alerts through Google Firebase and Apple, and, only if switched on, a photo check that uses an outside AI service (it is off today). Some run outside the Philippines. We stay responsible for your data when it goes to them.
Your choices
- Download a copy of your data.
- Delete your account. We wait 30 days first, so you can change your mind.
- Choose which alerts and emails you get.
- Complain to the National Privacy Commission if you are not happy with how we handled your data.
See How do I delete my account? and Notification settings.
