Updated 2 min read

Other people see your first name, your photo, your area, your items and your ratings. They never see your email, your phone number, your street or your ID.

What is public

  • Name. Your first name and the first letter of your last name, like "Maria L.".
  • Photo, bio and cover. Only if you add them.
  • Area. Your city or place, never a street or a pin.
  • Items and videos you post, their prices and the rough place.
  • Ratings you have, once there are enough of them.
  • Checks you have done, such as your email.
  • When you joined.
  • How many people follow you.

What stays private

  • Your email address.
  • Your phone number.
  • Your exact place.
  • Your ID, if you ever do an ID check. We plan to keep the result and not the pictures.
  • Your saved items, your saved searches and who you follow.
  • Your chats. Only the two people in a chat see it.
  • Your blocks. The other person is never told you blocked them.

Phone numbers in a chat

A phone number that is typed in a chat is hidden from the other person. It shows only after you both choose Share my number.

Photos

We remove hidden location data from your photos.

What you control

  • Share or stop sharing your number in each chat.
  • Block people.
  • Choose what to put in your bio and profile.
  • Download or delete your data. See Download or delete your account.

Reports

The person you report is never told that it was you.

Tip

Do not put your phone number, address or ID in a title, description, video or bio. Share them in a chat only when you trust the person.
