Phone checks and sign-in with a text message code are not switched on yet. Your phone number is never shown to other people.

Not live yet

Zellany cannot send text messages today. On the app, "Use my phone number" tells you so. Use your email and password. We will update this page when phone codes are ready.

What is planned

When text messages are on, you will be able to:

  • Check your phone number with a 6-digit code.
  • Sign in with your phone number.

A code by text shows that a registered SIM received it. It does not show who the person is.

Your phone number and other people

  • It is never on your public profile.
  • In a chat, a phone number you type is hidden from the other person until you both agree to share. Use Share my number in the chat menu to share, and Stop sharing my number to stop. See How chat works.
  • If you are asked for your number in a message from "Zellany", it is a scam.

Never share a code

If a text message ever arrives with a code you did not ask for, do not share it. See Protect your account.

Settings

If you have a phone number saved, Settings shows only the last 4 digits.

Tip

Meanwhile, the email check is free and works. See Trust steps.
