Troubleshooting

My item is not showing in search

Check that it is live and not being checked, ended or a draft. Then check your title, category and place.

Updated 2 min read For sellers

First check that your item is live. Open My items and look at its status. Only items that are live or reserved show in search. A draft, an item being checked, an ended item and a taken-down item do not.

Check the status

Open My items and find your item.

  • Drafts: it is not posted yet. Open it and tap Post item.
  • Being checked: we are looking at it. It shows when the check ends. See Why is my item "being checked"?.
  • Not posted or Removed: open it to see why.
  • Expired: it ended after 60 days. Tap Renew.
  • Sold: sold items are not in search.
  • Reserved: reserved items show, but a buyer can hide them with Hide reserved items.

If it is live

  1. Search your exact title. If it shows, it works. Your words may be far from what buyers type.
  2. Check the category. Search inside the department you chose. Buyers may filter by another one.
  3. Check the place. A buyer who picks another city may not see it. Edit the place if it is wrong.
  4. Check the filters. A buyer's price, condition or Sold by filter can hide it.
  5. Give it a little time. New items can take a short while to show.

Make it easier to find

  • Put the brand, model and size in the title.
  • Add the details of the department.
  • Use clear photos.

Search is simpler right now

Sometimes search says "Search is simpler right now. Typos won't be fixed." Search still works, but it needs more exact words.

A free bump once every 24 hours puts a live item back at the top of newest. See Post another like this, renew or bump.
