Pick the category that fits your item best. We suggest one as you type your title. You cannot change it once the item is for sale.

Pick the category where a buyer would look first. We suggest one when you type your title, so most of the time you only need to check it.

The 17 departments

Vehicles, Property, Phones & gadgets, Computers & gaming, TV, audio & cameras, Home & living, Fashion & luxury, Beauty & wellness, Babies & kids, Toys & collectibles, Hobbies, sports & pets, Food & drinks, Business & industrial, Services, Jobs, Tickets & community, and Free stuff.

Each department has smaller categories. For example, Phones & gadgets has Mobile phones, Tablets and Smartwatches.

Tips

For sale or for rent. In Property and Vehicles you choose For sale or For rent.
Services use the kind Service offered. Jobs use Job.
Free stuff is only for items you give away. Everything there is free.
If nothing fits, choose Other inside the right department.

Change it

You can change the category while the item is a draft, was not posted, or has ended. You cannot change it while the item is for sale. Take it down and post it again if you need to.

Wrong category

Buyers can report an item in the wrong category. We may move it or ask you to change it.

Some categories have extra rules

Some categories ask for more details or look at your first posts. Some things cannot be sold at all. See What you cannot sell.

Tip

Posting in the right category helps the right buyers find you. It is also what makes search and filters work.

How do I sell something?For sellers Tap Sell, add a photo or a video, say what it is, set your price and tap Post item. Buyers then message you in Chats. What you cannot sellFor sellers Weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, fake documents, copies sold as real, live animals, alcohol, vapes and more are not allowed. Posting jobsFor sellers Post a job in the Jobs department. Say what the work is. Applicants never pay, and you cannot ask for age, gender or looks. Property and vehicle sellersFor sellers Owners can post homes, cars and bikes as a person. Dealers sell under a Shop. Private numbers, like the engine number, are never shown.
